President at Crossroads Toastmasters
January 2011 - December 2011As President, I was responsible for running business portion of the meeting, welcoming guests and getting guest feedback at the end of the meeting. Each officer was called upon in turn for reports for the collection of relevant information before the meeting and delegates responsibility to the appropriate team member. The president is responsible to see that all officers attend the Fall and Spring Training sessions offered by the District. As president, you have the full power of the office to create projects that will benefit the club. It is a good idea to generate at least one project that will help to give your term in office focus and create some interest for the officers and the club. Work on something that interests you. In this role I tracked the club progress towards President's Distinguished as well as the Smedley Award.
